OUR APPROACH

Insurance is the mechanism. Risk architecture is the work.

Chesapeake Risk starts by understanding the assets, operations and obligations that need protection. Only then do we evaluate how insurance should be structured around them.

Start With a Risk Review
WHY THE MODEL MATTERS

Quoting individual policies can miss the relationships between risks.

Personal assets, operating companies, real estate, vehicles, liability and continuity obligations can sit across different policies and even different insurance markets. A lower premium on one policy does not necessarily improve the overall protection strategy.

The Chesapeake approach is designed to make those relationships visible before recommendations are made.

THE CHESAPEAKE PROCESS

From exposure discovery to long-term review.

01

Discover

Understand assets, properties, entities, operations, obligations and the client's priorities.

02

Analyze

Evaluate existing coverage for gaps, overlap, outdated assumptions and inconsistent liability structures.

03

Architect

Develop a coordinated insurance strategy around the exposures that matter.

04

Implement

Where appropriate, place coverage through available insurance markets and coordinate the transition.

05

Review

Revisit the architecture as assets, operations, markets and circumstances change.

INDEPENDENT BROKERAGE

Carrier access serves the strategy—not the other way around.

As an independent brokerage, Chesapeake Risk can evaluate available insurance markets rather than designing every recommendation around a single carrier's product set.

Carrier eligibility, underwriting appetite, policy forms and pricing vary. Recommendations remain subject to underwriting and the actual terms, conditions and exclusions of issued policies.

LONG-TERM ADVISORY

The risk picture changes even when the policies don't.

New homes, vehicles or investment properties

Business acquisitions, growth or new operations

Ownership, estate or succession changes

Insurance-market and underwriting changes

BEGIN WITH DISCOVERY

The first question isn't “What can we quote?”

It's “What are we actually trying to protect?” The Chesapeake Risk Review is where that process begins.
